Our Manifesto

Not as much a manifesto as a list of solutions to the state the UK is in just now…

ECONOMY – Capitalism all the way, although not political capitalism. Too much mucking around with corporatism has been a highlight of New Labour, and we will support the complete separation of the state and the free-market. The free-market should be ‘free’ and honest. We also believe that Income Tax should be abolished, as it is morally wrong to take money from someone just because they work. A flat-tax rate would be ideal, and the rich would never be taxed more than anyone else (because it’s wrong to tax success). It is wrong for people to be taxed at a different rate based on their income. Also rich people are the most mobile members of society. If they are over-taxed they will simply move themselves, their assets and capital offshore. Which will in turn decrease investment in the country.
We believe VAT should be replaced by Local Sales Taxes which would be set by the local councils; these Local Sales Taxes would replace Council Tax. The general rule on state intervention in the economy would be that it wouldn’t happen, unless to prevent fraud or to stop someone breaking the law. Government borrowing (and therefore government debt) would ideally be reduced to a fine zero. The minimum wage should be abolished as it is an illiberal restriction on free trade. It also places an artificial value on the cost of labour which makes it more difficult for low skilled workers to find work, and therefore gain experience and training.

EDUCATION – For more details on specific policies and for research into the current system, click here. As a general rule, education should be mainly privatised. State schools force children to attend then teach them a curriculum that is set by the government rather than the parents of the children – this is an easy way to spoonfeed ideology into people. A Swedish-style voucher system should be in place to let parents decide where their child gets educated, rather than have jumped-up local councils set ‘catchment areas’ and force children into schools. Government exam boards should be destroyed and each individual school should dedcide what exams are sat, monitored under a somewhat unpowerful watchdog.

HEALTH – We hold the opinion that the NHS should be disbanded and broken down so that every single individual hospital, GP’s surgery and dentist be its own business. These businesses would compete openly, as competition always produces high quality goods at low prices. Again, a voucher system would be the answer to the current problem.

THE STATE OF THE STATE – For more details on specific policies and for research into the current political system, click here. The state is in a state – there’s no way you can deny this. When the police have the power to stop you from protesting and when the government wants to give them the power to detain you for 42 days based purely on suspicion, there’s a problem. When over-zealous council busybodies can spy on your private property with many CCTV cameras to check that you recycle, there’s a problem. When the government seeks to put a tag on every single citizen by making them carry an ID card that has so much private information on it that it is banned in Germany for historical reasons, there’s a problem. And when there’s more CCTV cameras to each citizen than there were in East Germany in the 90′s, you’d better be worried. We want the power to be returned to the citizens, and for the state to answer to the people instead of the other way around.

IMMIGRATION - For more details on specific policies and for research into the current social landscape, click here. The current open-door policy the UK has adopted regarding immigration cannot continue. We need to take back our country from the people that are taking it from us. We believe that our culture should be placed over any other culture, and that our flag should never, ever be banned because it offends. We also believe that freedom of expression stops at the burkha and the hijab, as they are worn by women who’s husbands force it upon them to stop them expressing themselves freely. Any would-be assylum seeker has to present themselves at the UK border or face being deported. We think assylum seekers should be welcomed, as they are fleeing evil. However after being housed at the expense of the taxpayer for only 6 months, they should be thrown out – if they haven’t secured a job or another residence by then, it’s too late. Any immigrant or resident of a foreign country that sits in a UK prison (which should be privatised) will be sent home after serving their sentence.

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT – For more details on specific policies and for research into the current social landscape, click here. We think that ‘life’ should mean ‘life’. And we also think that the death penalty should be reintroduced for murder, rape, terrorism and paedophillia. Crimes that include damaging private property or invading private property will be regarded as seriously as murder and rape is. A core principle of our belief is that an individual must take any measures possible to protect himself and his property. This would include the right to own a firearm, and the right to use it lethally agaist any intruder on your private property. Firearms help citizens protect themselves against a powerful, authoritarian and abusive state. If guns are illegal, who has a monopoly over armed force? The police (the government). And criminals. It is also our belief that liberal, bleeding-heart judges be sacked, and tougher sentences for even the smallest of crimes (which would not include speeding offences!) We think that in order to ensure that each citizen has control over what they do to their own body, rather than the government having control, drugs should be legalised and served on prescription for a low price (so that a black-market does not develop). We are agaist the Human Rights Act being used to protect criminals whilst tormenting the law abiding citizens. So we think it should be scrapped and replaced with a British Bill of Rights.

FREEDOM AND LIBERTY - For more details on specific policies and for research into the current social landscape, click here. Our opinion is that every single person should be free to live how they choose and do what they want with absolutely no interference from the state whatsover, unless it harms someone else. We support the idea that all men are created equal, but believe it is up to them if they want to make themselves equal. In light of this equality, under rule of law, the right to Habeus Corpus shall always be enforced, and all suspects in anything are innocent until proven guilty.
